About

ABOUT

Why Stone County Needs a Dedicated Tourism Fund

High tide lifts all boats. Our economy is tourism-driven; if tourism spending goes up, local revenues go up and local businesses prosper. Tourism marketing WORKS to drive visitation to a destination, and we know it works for Stone County.

Stone County must take control of its future by managing how our area is marketed, rather than relying on other communities.

Increased visitation leads to more spending at hotels, restaurants, shops, and attractions, supporting local businesses and jobs.

Lodging tax-funded campaigns can help stabilize seasonal tourism, attract events and conferences, and improve overall economic resilience.
